Since 1952
we have been the voice of private, independent schools, colleges and universities at the State House. MANSC represents members’ interests, advocates on their behalf with lawmakers, and informs members about bills that threaten their independence and economic security.

Join us on Thursday, August 6th from 12:00 - 1:30 for an update on the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit and what it could mean for your school or organization.

The Federal Scholarship Tax Credit allows taxpayers to receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for contributions that will be directed to nonprofit Scholarship Granting Organizations. These organizations will distribute scholarships to K-12 students for a variety of eligible purposes.

Thirty-one states plan to opt in, but Massachusetts has yet to make a decision. If Massachusetts does not opt in, residents will still be able to claim the tax credit, but the scholarship funds will go to students in other states.

Our speakers will provide an overview of the program and information on topics of specific interest to independent, private nonprofit schools and colleges. We are grateful to each of our them for generously agreeing to share their time and expertise.

Presenters:
Erin Dutter, FACTS
Katie Everett, The Lynch Foundation & Massachusetts Educational Opportunties Coalition
Timothy Murray, Worcester Reginoal Chamber of Commerce and former Massachusetts Lt. Governor

Please note:

The program of this event is for presentations to be followed by a Q&A period. You will have an opportunity to submit a question in advance when you register.
